Forensics refers to the act of debating and public speaking. Students who are involved in forensics have the opportunity to compete against other high school students from 1A-5A schools across Texas.

Events include Lincoln-Douglas Debate, Cross-Examination Debate, Public Forum, Extemporaneous and Impromptu Speaking, Prose and Poetry. We compete in tournaments roughly twice a month from September until March.

Tournaments are held on Fridays and Saturdays or just on Saturdays. (Check the tournament calendar tab for further information)

Students involved in speech and debate learn speaking skills, build confidence and self-esteem, and develop life long relationships among teammates. You will learn how to become a leader, a team player, and a competitor.
