Over 500 competitors from 28 schools spent the day at NHS this past Saturday competing in UIL Academic events. We were able to put on another successful UIL Academic competition and maintain our reputation as having the classiest tournament and school in the area. Thank you.

Congratulations to NMS Hanna Willeby for placing 2nd in the Patriots Pen Writing Contest. Her essay was chosen for the District Level contest where she also placed 2nd, receiving a medal, a plaque, $350 and recognized at two award banquets. NISD is proud of you Hanna!

Needville Theater Department is hosting their annual Daddy~Daughter Dance on February 7 from 6-8. Tickets go on sale Tuesday, Jan 28 at the high school office. $25 per couple and $10 for each addition daughter.
Congratulations to NISD School Board Vice President, Jim Kocian, for being awarded the Needville Chamber Humanitarian Award last night. Mr. Kocian has volunteered 32 years of service to NISD.
Needville Area Chamber of Commerce Banquet is tonight at 7:00. NISD is proud to announce that our superintendent, Mr. Curtis Rhodes, will be the guest speaker at the event.
