The following students participated in the first virtual Debate of the season hosted by Salado: Cody Estes, Monze Munoz, Stephen Ashburn, Cannon McKinney, Braden Wusterhausen, Julia Kovar, Amber Simons, Maya Naik, and Jill Henry. These team members placed in the top 3 of their events:
Amber Simons and Stephen Ashburn placed 2nd in Varsity CX.
Maya Naik and Jill Henry placed 2nd in Novice CX.
Julia Kovar placed 1st in Prose.

Blue Jays win 28-20!
The score at the end of the 3rd quarter is Blue Jays 28 - Stafford 20.
Warncke scores on a 32 yard run to make it 28-14 (Cavazos is good) with about 8 to go in the 3rd.
Blue Jays take a 21-14 lead into halftime.
A 27 yd pass from Baker to Todd makes the score 21-14 after Cavazos converts the XP with 5:30 minutes to go in the half.
Baker to Ochoa to tie the game at 14 with 7:10 left in the 2nd quarter.
7-7 the end of the 1st quarter.
I thoroughly enjoyed the Blue Jay Company’s performance of Over the River and Through the Wood! Great Job!
Baker to Bridges for 71 yards on the TD and Cavazos adds the XP - 7-0.

Needville High School Parents/Guardians,
I wanted to make you aware of an incident that occurred at the HS. An anonymous tip was made to Fort Bend County Sheriff’s office and brought to our attention. Our campus administration and our district police department handled the situation in accordance with our policies and our campus is safe.
There was never a threat to our campus, but I want to be clear that we thoroughly investigated and we take these situations seriously. Please talk to your child about how comments and statements can have consequences and that they can lead to a significant disruption to school.
The safety of every student and staff member is always our first priority and we take every precautionary measure to ensure that commitment.
