💙Welcome to NMS! 💙 Please help us welcome a familiar face to NMS! Mrs. Band-Hubenak will be joining us as a Dyslexia Specialist. She graduated from University of Houston. Go Coogs! At home, she enjoys life with her husband of 25 years Joe, their two children Cole (21) and Molly (17), and their two Mini Australian Shepherds, Kodi and Emi. Outside of school she loves gardening, hanging out in the pool, and spending time with family and friends. What she’s most excited about this year: "I’m excited to start my 25th year in Needville and look forward to meeting everyone. I’m passionate about doing what’s right for students and doing everything to make a positive difference." We’re so glad to have her on the team - welcome to the NMS family!

Summer Student Spotlight!!! Naomi Bates (4th grade) is currently in New York City with the Houston Children’s Chorus. Alongside two other Texas children’s choirs, they performed at Carnegie Hall. Naomi joined the HCC Prep Choir last August and has shown incredible dedication this past year practicing her music 4–5 hours a week. We recently learned she’s been accepted into the HCC Concert Choir for the upcoming school year. Way to go Naomi!

💙 Welcome to NMS! 💙 Please join us in giving a big Needville welcome to one of our new counselors, Mrs. Katie Haley! She holds a Bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University and a Master’s degree from Houston Baptist University. She is married to her husband Jim and they have two children, Mason - 8th grader at NJHS and Mackenzie -2nd grader at NES. In her spare time, she loves reading, being outdoors, and spending time with family. What she’s most excited about this year: "I am excited to return to counseling and look forward to supporting and serving the staff, students, and families of Needville Middle School." We’re so glad she’s here — welcome to the Blue Jay family!

💙 Welcome to NMS! 💙 Please help us give a big Blue Jay welcome to Mrs. Baylee Trammel! She will be joining Nurse Zahn in the clinic this year to provide lots of love and care to our students. She earned both her LVN and RN from Wharton County Junior College (WCJC). She is married to her husband Nathan and they have 2 kids Marlee (3) and Presley (2). She also has 2 dogs Lilly (lab) and Lolly (Aussie doodle). Outside of school she loves photography! What she’s most excited about this year: "I’m excited to meet all the students and share my passion for health and well-being!" We’re so glad to have her join the team — it’s going to be a great year at Needville Middle School!

💙Welcome to NMS! 💙 We’re excited to welcome Mrs. Erin Hobbins as our Speech Therapist & Assistive Technology Specialist! She is a graduate of Texas State University and George Mason University. Outside of school, she enjoys spending time with her husband Howard and their 3 kids - Suebella (16), Kingston (15), Corrah (14), 3 little dogs, cats, goats, chickens, ducks, and guineas(funny farm)! What she’s most excited about this year: "Having a new adventure at NMS! So excited to join what I already know is an awesome school family!" 💙 We’re so glad to have her with us — welcome to Needville Middle School!

💙 Welcome to NMS! 💙 We’re excited to welcome Ms. Adriana Rivas to our campus this year! She will be joining us as a special education teacher. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from UH Main Campus and UH Victoria. In her free time she enjoys lifting weights and watching sports. What she's most excited about this year: "Working with an incredible staff and meeting my students! I’ve always heard great things about Needville ISD, I’m so glad to finally be a part of the family!" We’re proud to have her join us — welcome to the Needville Middle School family!

✨Welcome to NMS!✨ We’re excited to welcome Mrs. Rachel Wendt back to NMS! She will be joining us as a 5th Grade Math Co-Teach/Resource teacher. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from Sam Houston State University. She and her husband Caleb stay busy with their three children — Peyton (12) and twin sons Sam and Theo (2). When she's not teaching she is traveling with her family all over the state watching her daughter show pigs! She is also a photographer - mostly livestock but she also loves taking pictures of families, seniors and occasionally weddings! Agriculture is a true family passion! What she’s most excited about this year: “I’m excited to be back at Needville Middle School! It truly is an amazing campus with the best people working there!” We’re so glad to have her back on campus — it’s going to be a great year at Needville Middle School!

✨ Welcome to NMS! ✨ We’re excited to welcome Mrs. Cynthia Hudgens as an Interventionist and Instructional Coach to our campus! She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Texas State University and her Master’s in Education Administration from Lamar University. At home, Mrs. Hudgens enjoys spending time with her husband Mark, their two children Will (14) and Riley (10), and their dog Molly, a shih tzu terrier mix. Outside of school, you’ll find her cheering on Coach Hud and the boys at Needville varsity football and basketball games, reading, and spending time with friends and family. What she’s most excited about this year: “I am thrilled to join the Blue Jay family and contribute to the amazing education our little Jays receive here in Needville.” With 15 years in education, she’s ready to hit the ground running — and we’re lucky to have her at Needville Middle School!

🌟📘 Welcome to NMS! 📘🌟 We’re excited to welcome Ms. Alexandra Prihoda as a new addition to our 5th Grade ELAR team here at Needville Middle School! She holds a degree from the University of Houston — Go Coogs! At home, she’s joined by her cat Ethel and a lively bunch of chickens. When she’s not in the classroom, she enjoys gardening and fishing. What she's most excited about this year: "I am excited about meeting and learning from more Blue Jay educators!" We’re glad to have her on board — here’s to a great year of learning and leading at NMS!

📚Welcome to NMS! 📚 We’re excited to welcome Mrs. LeAnn Pelley to our 5th Grade ELAR & Social Studies team! She earned her Bachelor’s degree from Sam Houston State University and her Master’s degree from the University of Houston-Victoria. She’s married to her husband Dustin and is the proud mom of Patrick and Elizabeth. Outside of school, she leads the children’s ministry at her church and enjoys anything that involves being outside by the pool — sunshine and service are her specialties! What she’s most excited about this year: "Possibly reconnecting with some former Pirates!" We’re so glad she’s joined our team — welcome aboard and here’s to a great year at Needville Middle School!

📚✨ Welcome to NMS! ✨📚 We’re so excited to welcome Ms. Hannah Adams as a 4th Grade ELAR Teacher to the NMS family! She’s a proud graduate of Texas A&M University — Gig 'em! She’s a big dog lover and shares her home with two furry companions, Marley and Willow. She has one older sister, Sarah, who teaches kindergarten at NES, and her parents, Rhonda and Scotty Adams, are both graduates of Needville High School — a true hometown connection! Outside of school, she enjoys reading, traveling, and spending quality time with friends and family. What she’s most excited about this year: “As a first-year teacher, I’m excited to learn alongside my 4th graders and create a classroom where they feel confident exploring reading and writing.” We’re thrilled to have her join the team — welcome to NMS, and here's to a fantastic first year!

🌟 Welcome to NMS! 🌟 Please join us in giving a big Needville welcome to one of our new counselors, Mrs. Jill Medve! She earned her Bachelor’s degree from Texas State University and her Master’s degree from Lamar University. She’s married to her husband Joseph and is the proud mom of Blake (22) and Harper (6) — plus a lovable Goldendoodle named Memphis! Outside of school, she enjoys watching her son play football at Rice University, attending all of her daughter’s extracurricular activities, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. What she’s most excited about this year: “I’m so excited to be returning back to NISD. Needville is home! I’m looking forward to getting to know all the students and staff at NMS.” We’re thrilled to have her back in NISD — here’s to a fun and fantastic year at Needville Middle School!

Spring 2025 STAAR Scores are now available for parents! You may access scores by going into Skyward Family Access and selecting the Texas Assessments tab.
