Last Sunday, 22 art students from NHS participated in the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Art Competiton. The Art contest challenges students and schools to think outside the box. The program provides students, Pre-K through 12th grade, the opportunity to compete in district shows, earn scholarships, travel to summer workshops and display artwork in the Hayloft Gallery during the rodeo. Seven students from NHS were honored with awards during the judging process:

Congratulations to the Needville Swim team! Samantha Richards broke last year's district record in the 100 breaststroke. Ava Valchar beat everyone soundly in the 500 and the 200 IM. Matthew Dikeman got 2nd in the backstroke and 4th in the 50. Jordan Bernier got 5th in the 50 and 4th in the 100 breaststroke.
School is back to normal schedule tomorrow, Wednesday, January 17,2024.
